In the summer of 1958 our family packed the robin's-egg blue Ford station wagon and headed west from Syracuse, NY. Mother & Father are packing the car outside the Catalina Motel in Bridgeport, Indiana. |

little history
This is the photographic record of a trip my family and I took when I was 16 years old. [My brother was 12.] We drove across the country and back, taking 5 1/2 weeks. I took the pictures with a Brownie Hawkeye camera. Much of the text on these pages is what I wrote on the back of the pictures in 1958! I hope you enjoy this journey back in time.
